Not quite as sharp as the originals. What made Zucker, Abrahams, and Zucker brilliant was the sheer number of layered jokes that are so numerous that even after several watches you continue to discover new ones. I feel like I've experienced all this film has to offer in the first watch, and that each of the jokes felt added on, rather than inline and spur of the moment. They were almost skits, rather than quick visual gags or witty turns of phrase that you take a moment to process before chuckling.

Too long and extremely poorly paced. The action sequences were exhilarating, and the visuals were great, but the story was sloppy. Generically named malevolent AI that gains sentience and tries to destroy the world is a plot that has been done to death. The action scenes were slightly marred due to the characters being seemingly invincible and thus the risks being nullified. One can only suspend their disbelief so much in a film that is attempting to remain based in reality.

The first half felt a tad weak due to the psychological aspects not being properly explored as a result of the constant comedic relief breaking tension. It strengthened greatly in the last quarter. Overall, I feel it could have leaned a little bit more into the incoherency of dreams, rather than just the surrealism.

Like the first film, this is hilarious to watch as an adult given how many they managed to get away with for an audience of children.

Arguably the best-directed film of the series. John William's score, particularly Window to the Past, fit so extremely well. I very much wish he'd kept on with the rest of the series, or at least that the motifs he'd established had remained in use.

The body horror of a man's physicality disobeying his mind played off for laughs. Owned on a scratched ex-video-store DVD, such that at the climax of the film, when French Stewart breaks the fourth wall and says, 'Here comes the good part', it would cease playing and never recover.

It had an advert for Warner Bros Movie World on the Gold Coast, the 'You wouldn't steal a car' anti-piracy presentation and 'Office of Film and Literature Classification' rating, as well as the Digital dts Sound showcase. Just before it played, the original twin towers trailer was shown.

I have scarcely seen a more adult children's film.

A fantastic satire, though it is a shame that private enterprise meddling in public services and police brutality have remained such relevant topics. The stop-motion and practical effects are fantastic. Where many films present an 80s version of the future, RoboCop feels like the future brought back to the 80s.

Holding the book in such high regard, I was rather disappointed by the film and am maligned by the fact that it seems to be the version of A Clockwork Orange in the zeitgeist.

I love the slightly sinister undertones of completely unhinged insanity Gene Wilder brings. The tunnel scene in particular is wonderfully and disorientingly disturbing.
